Winesap Blossoms
Pink Apple blossoms on a Tom Burford Red Flesh Winesap apple. Did you know that Tom Burford trained apple trees at Mt. Vernon about 70 years ago. This is a special tree that Tom gave us as a small start and it is now 7’ tall and 8’ wide. We enjoy visiting there and seeing some of his trees that are still growing.
I can’t wait until we can harvest the apples and make pie. I have found great recipe for a delicious one. Do you like pie?
